Terms and Conditions
Reservations
You can make your reservations directly with us via email or using the reservation form included on this page. Enclose all personal data including complete first and last name, address, and passport number of each participant. To guarantee your reservation, ELEMENTO NATURAL has to receive the prepayment and written confirmation 20 days prior the departure. Full payment has to be received before we start providing the service. The minimum group size that ELEMENTO NATURAL can accept in the tours is 4 persons, to maintain the prices we are offering. Below that, the prices are subject to change.
Payments
There is absolutely nothing to pay in order to submit your request for reservation, but once we confirm availability, the prepayment will be required in order to keep your reservation. You have to make a prepayment of 50% of the total cost of the tour 20 days before your arrival. This can be done with a wire transfer to our bank account. The remaining 50% is due upon arrival to San José and can be paid in cash (US$ o COLON ¢).
Cancelations
You must send a written notification of any modifications and/or cancellations. Cancellations within 15 days before the start date of your adventure will result in the loss of 50% of the prepayment. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date or a No Show, will result in the loss of the entire prepayment.
Traveler Insurance
ELEMENTO NATURAL does not include the traveler insurance in the trips, however, you may ask for a temporary policy in our office, in the case you do not have any kind of personal insurance. The coverage is at an extra charge, and is based on the length of your expedition.
Elemento Natural Responsabilities
ELEMENTO NATURAL reserves the right to cancel, modify or delay the trip itinerary when considered necessary for the benefit of our customers. ELEMENTO NATURAL cannot be held responsible for extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather or altered road conditions; we can either be held accountable for diseases, injuries, damages, losses, delays or any other irregularity caused by involuntary or negligent acts through other companies or third parties involved in the fulfillment of the itinerary, or by natural disasters or political affairs or holidays. This trip is an adventure tour and unexpected events may occur, so we cannot always follow the initial itinerary.
ELEMENTO NATURAL also reserves the right of admission to our trips, and we are not responsible for mental, physical deficiencies or negligence from our customers.
ELEMENTO NATURAL can provide the following equipment and services during our tours, according to your designed itinerary:
- Specialized bilingual guide
- Transportation
- Lodging
- Meals
- Camping tents for guests including sleeping mats
- Screened dining tent and the necessary dining and cooking supplies
- Basic medical supplies (first aid Kit)
- Proper waste handling capability/disposal
- Reservation for the different adventure tours
- National Park's fees and permits
- Costa Rica's wilderness and exuberant nature!
Customer Responsabilities
The customer is voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved and agrees to assume any and all risks, including possible injuries or death. The customer is obligated to accept the advice and guidance that the guide will provide. He also agrees to behave on behalf of the safety of the group and to respect the wildlife of the areas we will be visiting, and to respect the way of life and traditions of the local people in our country.
As such, our customers will be required to personally sign a Liability and Release Waiver prior to traveling with us. Any people younger than 18 will be required to have a legal parent or guardian sign this form. This form will be made available upon arrival.
Any additional or optional activities that are not included in the tour will have to be paid by the customer.
