Corcovado National Park<\/b>, located in\u00a0Osa Peninsula<\/a><\/b>\u00a0southwest of\u00a0Costa Rica, <\/b>is considered by many to be one of the best national parks in the world<\/strong>, one of the most bio-diverse<\/strong> in the planet. The rainforest in it,\u00a0is not only inside the national park, but it actually covers most of the peninsula, making it tremendously rich in flora and fauna. However, you can not set aside the other natural attractions of the area like the Dulce Gulf<\/b>, the many beaches like Drake<\/b>\u00a0and the wetlands like Sierpe<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Elemento Natural<\/strong> wants to give you 3 recommendations to get up close and personal with Osa, this amazing area of Costa Rica;<\/b>\u00a0all three, very different between each other, but that each one of them becomes an awesome trip.<\/p>\n

  1. The most traditional way of visiting Osa is going to Drake Bay<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>via\u00a0Sierpe Wetlands<\/b>. This option requires that you first reach Sierpe and then take a boat that will take you to the Pacific Ocean and to your hotel in Drake. Going through Sierpe River<\/b>\u00a0is an adventure in itself. Once in Drake you can visit the little villeage and some of the local eco-tourism projects in Rancho Quemado and El Progreso<\/b>. In Drake Bay, you will have easy access to 2 of the best destinations of the area:\n
      \n
    1. The Park\u00b4s ranger stations\u00a0San Pedrillo and\u00a0Sirena<\/b>, inside the Corcovado\u00a0<\/strong>National Park<\/b>: incredible spots for wild life watching.<\/li>\n
    2. Ca\u00f1o Island<\/b>, one of\u00a0Costa Rica\u00b4s<\/b>\u00a0best spots with marine life, excellent for scuba diving and snorkeling.

    3. The next one, maybe more remote than the previous, is to visit La Palma<\/b>\u00a0which is located just before\u00a0Puerto Jim\u00e9nez<\/b>. You can get here by car, and you also have the advantage of being close to Rancho Quemado and El Progreso, <\/b>that you can also reach by car (mostly during the dry season). \u00a0Being close to Puerto Jim\u00e9nez, it\u00b4s pretty easy to take a boat to enjoy the beauties of Dulce Gulf<\/b>, the dolphins, whales and the beaches. \u00a0Also, the Los Patos<\/b>\u00a0 ranger station is close by, so Corcovado National Park<\/b>\u00a0is still an important part of your journey to the Peninsula. \u00a0There are some very nice beaches near by, to enjoy the sun and the ocean.<\/li>\n
    4. Finally, you can visit Cabo Matapalo<\/b>, at the tip of the penisula. It is definitely the most remote area, but well worth it because of the spectacular natural views and the impressive flora and abundant fauna. If you want to be in a place where everything is about nature, this is it. And of course, you can still access Corcovado Park<\/b>\u00a0through La Leona <\/b>sector. You can even fly from there or from\u00a0Puerto Jim\u00e9nez to\u00a0Sirena Station, for a day hike. \u00a0The beaches on this side are amazing, and you can find many world wide famous surf spots.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
